Monopoly was first created in 1903 by Elizabeth Magie as a way to teach people about the dangers of monopolies and the benefits of land ownership. The game became popular during the Great Depression and was eventually bought by Parker Brothers in 1935. Since then, it has become one of the most popular board games in the world, with millions of copies sold in dozens of countries.
Rules
1. Players take turns rolling dice and moving their tokens around the board.
2. Each player starts with a set amount of money and can buy properties when they land on them.
3. When other players land on a property that you own, they have to pay you rent.
4. The goal of the game is to bankrupt all other players and become the last one standing.

Tips to win

5. Be strategic with your trading. Look for opportunities to trade properties with other players in order to create monopolies or to get out of debt.
6. Pay attention to the board and plan your moves accordingly. Try to avoid landing on properties that are owned by other players, especially if they have houses or hotels on them.
7. Be patient and don't give up too quickly. The game can be long and frustrating at times, but if you stick with it and play smart, you can come out on top.
